Bags have been on the bike for about a week. It's a good looking bag and I've noted no quality problems.
A couple of notes. 1. Never underestimate the stupidity of the installer. After I completely misunderstood the printed instructions, Stanley sent me a video that cleared it up. Remembering from Jaron's note, I leveled the bike on the jack. One should pay attention to the "level" and shock preload. My axle nut is very close to the bag. A couple of days on the road suggests that I'll be alright as long as I don't toss my wife on the back. I'd suggest that a paper template might help installation woes. I do plan on the detachable mount soon, as it's a bitch to clean behind the bags.
2. Paired keys would definitely be a worthwhile upgrade. Fumbling with different keys in dim light sucks.
For my overall initial report, I'm quite pleased with them.
I have been shopping around for saddlebags as well and still am very skeptical about them. Possible to get pictures of the inside..? I haven't found many interior shots. For they price... They look too good to be true. I paid the same amount for just one bag from Bad&G.
The inside finish is fine. I'm out of town or I'd get pics. They aren't carpeted or fancy. You have the ABS visible, but they look normal to me. I don't care about the inside. They look good outside, price is great and so far great quality.
