Yes and yes. Looks great and completely removes the wind from your chest without any helmet buffeting, at least that's been my experience.
I just didn't like how a wind shield obscured by view and no matter how I adjusted it, I still got buffeting. With the quarter fairing, I can cruise well above 75, still feel the wind, but not feel like I'm being ripped off the bike.
Plus, I think they look way cooler than a wind shield.
I also have the quarter fairing and have to do 75mph on the Expressway just to stay safe. ( 35 miles each way to work ) The fairing will definitely reduce the wind blast and buffeting depending on how you have it set up. For me, however it became a trade-off between buffeting and wind noise. The wind coming off the top of the fairing hits me right about ear level and because its compressed by the fairing, is actually louder than with no fairing at all. Worth the trade though. No fairing at that speed sucks, and nothing sucks worse than buffeting.
Also, the fairing quickly loses its effectiveness in headwinds and crosswinds of any significance.
