You likely won't NEED fuel management with just a muffler change, but these bikes are so lean from the factory I'd suggest looking into it anyway. Fuel Moto made a noticeable difference on my bike. Plus once you change the exhaust you'll start looking at that air cleaner... It's a vicious cycle...

XEID's are just a couple of resister wires that plug in between you O2 sensors and your ECM. They fool the ECM into giving the bike more fuel. You can read about them at nightrider.com.

I used them for 6 months while I was saving for me tuner. They work as advertised, but in no way are they a tuner.

I put rush slip-ons on my '13 SB with a 103 expecting not to need a tuner. I was wrong. Lots of popping on decel. Ended up getting a power vision and have gotten rid of 95% of it. The Rush slip-ons sound great though and I might just try moving to a smaller baffle (mine are 2" baffle). A lot of people have had success with just slip-ons and no tuner though. Not exactly sure why that wasn't the case for me as I'm positive there's no exhaust leak.

I went for the V&H straight shot slip ons. They sound awesome but I had extreme decel pop. Installed Xied's which reduced the decel pop by about 50%, but still way too much. I exchanged them for the ViED's and have them dialed in just right now. What decel pop is left is a now a nice burble, and the bike is running better than ever.
