I just finished a 107 build myself and trust me when I say I feel your pain man. I get so focused on the job at hand and forget the stupid **** that bites ya in the ***. My latest one was O2 sensors, t pipes I had came with the bike, when I went to take them off to use on my fat cat I found out the previous owner was kind enough to red locktite the ****** on there. After trying to beat a whole in my garage floor with my old exhaust (which I can't sell now) I got to take the wife's sporty on a 4 hour ride to the stealer and back. That was just the most recent *** up on this build.

Did the same thing on my buddies 07 bob. Those lines get brittle after they are few years old, you can def use the NAPA part above. The $50 dealer part is updated to be metal reinforced though

well I got her running, replaced the fuel connector with napa p/n: 7305617, replaced the 5/16 fuel line.

the Iac was completely bad so the new iac fixed the stalling at start up.

the bike runs decent and will need a tune after I break her in...

Glad you got it going.
It can be very frustrating sometimes.
I did a custom build that took 26 months to complete. I ran into all kinds of problems.
first the tank had swollen and would not fit the frame-fixed it, Then the chrome started peeling off the calipers-had to send them back, kept working putting it together. Then it would not hit a lick-ended up that both injectors had stuck closed at the same time, Got that, Got my calipers back, thought I got it this time, went for the first ride and the right fork seal started leaking, I had the seals but no bushing-had to wait on that, then I was putting the forks back together to get it in a show and the right fork leg chrome was peeling. Had to send it back.
I have took a break from it for now. I will finish it next week, maybe.

i could handle a long build like that if i had more than 1 bike. Hopefully you get her done without any more problems.

The power of my new top end is nice so far, i want to get into it but i gotta remember to take it easy for the break in period. I havent taken her over 3500 rpms yet but so far so good, a good tune will bring the beast out..

You pretty happy with your tuner? I just got done with my 106 and I'm tuning with a PV right now but plan on a dyno somewhere down the road when I have 2 pennies to rub together again. Interested in any shops that aren't to far south of me.

When I thought I was finished with my custom I started a engine build.
So I know how it is to wait. I will have enough miles on it in a day or so. Close now.
Took me 5 months to build this one.
This one I actually bought the bike to do the engine build.
We have a SS106 and it is strong. Lots of fun with this bike.
I always keep a couple of bikes on hand because I am known to go into the shop and start tearing one down or start cutting on one without a notice.
maybe things will be uphill from now on. It is best to get bugs early on.
Keep us posted how it goes.
I enjoy reading what others has done and their results.
