2006 Wideglide Rinehart question
I have the 4.5" od 2 into 1 exhaust on my 2006 Wideglide. I recently got bags for it only to find out that because the Rinehart exhaust tip is so large the bag rubs up against it. I bought the Boss Bags used so I can't return them.
I took the Rinehart muffler off. Its part # R5-0034GD 631
Where it slips into the headers it has a 2.5" id
The bracket on it that bolts it to the bike is 9" from the end that slips into the headers and 7-1/4 from the tip.
What I am wondering is If I can get another muffler that would fit. The perfect solution would be a Rinehart 3.5" instead of the massive 4.5" that I have.
Would other manufacturers fit? I don't have alot of experience in swapping or mixing and matching exhausts. Here are some pics. 1 is the muffler, the other is the muffler off the bike and the 3rd is the muffler on the bike. The bag is sitting directly on the muffler and there is no way to adjust it.
