Hi All ....
We have 4 Harleys between my Wife and I.
She has a 2010 Trike and an 02 Dyna Super Glide
with many, many extras. I have an 07 Ultra and a
1999 Dyna Wide Glide with alot of extras. Since my
Wife no longer wants to ride her Dyna I am pretty
sure I could trade BOTH Dyna's in for a 2014 Dyna Fat Bob.
I love the bobtail fenders on the Dyna's and love the
dual light setup on the Fat Bobs. I do not like the new
redesigned Wide Glides and I really do not like the look
of the front tire/wheel combo on the Fat Bob's. I like
the rake and skinner tire/wheel combo on the Wide
Glide's. Anyone ever change out the front end of a
Fat Bob and if so do you have any pictures ?
Thanks ....
Rob ....
Why not get the wide glide and swap out the back fenders? Be cheaper than swapping front end on fatbob. There are plenty of guys with fatbobs that would swap you.
I thought of that but might just have to take a ride to the Dealership
and sit on a new Wide Glide to see how it feels. Since I am 59 years old
and do like riding my Wife's Trike one of my ideas is to trike out the new
Dyna with a Frankenstien kit later on. I have a picture of it done to a Fat Bob
and LOVE the look. The Wide Glide would already have enough rake to help
with the steering. I thought of using the money from selling my Wife's Dyna
to trike out my 1999 that has a stage 2 big bore kit. What holds me back is
because it has 25k miles on it and the new Dyna would have the 6 speed,
103 motor, better forks and frame.
Rob .....
robandlyn, this is my next project. Doing it to a 2010 wide glide.
We really like the Frankenstein kit.
She already has a ss106 kit with a little lower gearing it should be good.
I agree it would be less $$ to just change fenders.
Change fender and you can always throw a dual headlight on the Wg.
hmmm....
Didn't know the HD dual light would fit a WG.
Since I plan on triking it the new WG fender would
probably look better. Here is my 1999 WG ....
BTW .... it has a stage 2 big bore kit with cams and
pumps out way more hp and tq than a stock 103.
Maybe I will have to ponder more about just triking it out ;-)

I'm guessing it would anyways the fatbob and Wg forks are both 49mm. Cant say I have seen one done before but I also dont see why it wouldnt work. But if I was going to trike out a dyna it would be the Fatbob because of the big front tire and the dual disk brakes.
