Someone in a previous thread was ragging on people who don't like to ride in freezing temps, extreme heat or rain. Unless its your only means of transportation, if it's not enjoyable, what's the point?? As I said in that thread, here in Nashville its consistently 95-105 degrees with very high humidity in July and August. Wednesday it was 97 here and very unusual that it's hotter in Chicago, Philadelphia and New York......
It does get to a point where it's too hot to ride but I'll still take the bike out anyways. My ride to and from work is basically all highway and you would think being on the highway you wouldn't be as hot. Total opposite between the hot air and the water coming off of the cars in front of you sucks.
Dude,
I am sitting in a hotel and my bike is 4 states away (big states; Nebraska, Colorado, Nevada and California ) I have only been home and able to ride 4 days in July. This is killing me, I don't care what the temp is I wanna ride.
I hear you. It's bad enough I'm here working in Manhattan till September without my bike, but apparently I've got to learn how to breath under water...
I'm from NY and I love it here but this heat/humidity is just stupid.
Screw it! I'm going to a midnight show of Pacific Rim! At least it'll be air conditioned.
