Default $4.50 mod

Took my battery box cover off, and removed the "silver band" from the cover by pinching the four retaining clips and pushing them out through each hole (careful they are plastic). Went to Ace hardware and bought 4 chrome acorn nuts, 4 small washers and 4 flat head screws, cleaned the battery box cover put a drop of blue loctite on each screw and installed them. 1st pic is with the band, 2nd and 3rd without. So whadda ya think? Not bad for $4.50 cents, took about 10 minutes to do and can easily be reversed.

Maybe black oxide nuts would look better.

Looks better/cleaner. I like the look.
I don't have a bike that has it, but I never did like that strip on the box when I see them at the dealer or on the street.
