I used Allen head bolts SS. Then installed an emblem in blank spot.

If you have black spray paint at home, this mod costs $0.00. Paint the band black and put it back on!

Also, another thing I have seen in the past is someone taking another ECU cover and adapting it to fit on the battery side. Then both sides will match!

I truly appreciate all of the opinions. I got the idea and figured I'd give it a shot, originally thought about black bolts but they didn't have any at the Ace I visited so I went with the chrome. I like the idea of allen heads also. I considered painting the band satin black but decided to leave it silver so I could put it back on if I sell the bike. Stay tuned for version #2 as I study on it some more!

Thats the exact emblem I used in mine. I used Allen bolts that matched the rest of the bike with the winged HD skull in the center. I liked the look much better than the band. Now I'm running a bag on the cover. Works well and looks good I think.

Whatever floats your boat, but this is a little bit low key to warrant a post on the forums.

I did the exact same mod a few months ago. Cheap and definitely looks better. Great minds think alike!
