Anybody?
Wondering what the outcome would be of an "overfill".
With no clearcoat for protection, I'm a little fearful.

your paint has a clear coat, it has a additive in the clear to give it the matte finish.

I usually have a drop or two because of the damn nozzles around here. Don't really do anything special about that. I did have onemore significant "leakage", I just was sure to wash the tank when I got home. Tank doesn't show any evidence yet from it.

It sure does look like a single basecoat application to me.
I dumped gas all over my tank. Wiped it off with a crusty brown, gas station hand towel. No problem what so ever. The Denim seem pretty strong.

No clear coat..................just finished my project in which we had to spray black denim..........It is two parts paint...........the paint itself and an activator that is mixed in with paint before shooting....but it is a one shot process.......no clear coat..............To those that dont know...harley sales black denim in a touch up , a spray paint, and by the quart..............the paint is an a acrylic urethane..............activator is urethane activator......................................... ............................as far as spilling gas just be carefull how you clean up........I dont wipe.....I dab........ I have had several spills and they have all cleaned up with no marks whatsoever.

spills and no paint problems, although where my thighs rub against the tank has seem to gain a more polished look then the rest of the paint.

I must really suck at fueling up, I spill a few drops on the tank no matter how careful I am every time. No ill effects though, paint looks fine. I just clean it off right away.

I really suck at fillin the SB-Can't seem to get use to it, compared to my ironhead... was really concerned this first time- a real messbut used an old rag to wipe it up-no ills affects at all..the times after that weren't as bad but enough-still looks good. Now if I could only learn to keep the gas in the tank....I might get better gas mileage.
