Default is this headlight junk?

I am looking to replace my headlight. Just wondering if this low priced headlight is junk??

On problem I see is it is chrome plated plastic, in my experience that has a higher chance of flaking off compared to metal that is chrome plated.

Really. Rust usually isn't a problem for a headlight unless you park on the beach and never clean or wax it.

In phoenix there are a few motorcycle junk yards, Every city has one,,You can pick up a headlight for a song and just clean it up or paint it,,If money is a factor,,,,

it looks like a Honda VTX head light except for the bottom mount.

These are good points but the main reason why I am saying it is a cheap pos is because the bulb setup is a single filament bulb like a taillight. It probably won't run hi/lo and will not be bright like your stock headlight. Look at the bulb that your stock headlight uses and then look at the bulb in the eBay auction. Avoid the eBay auction bulb and find a light that you like that uses a bulb like your stocker
