That is very cool! I would like to do some engraving on my bike.This has
inspired me to get some scrap and start practicing.

I've done a lot of work with pencil/peanut grinders. That took a lot of patience. Good work.

Man, it is a lesson in patience for sure. I have started using needle files to clean up my cuts and if you don't have callouses on your fingers then you will by the time you're done. I want to learn traditional hand engraving and get good at it, but it is a real steep learning curve I didn't have for this project. I'll still learn it, just in time.

Even making the tools is an art in itself. I used a HSS drill bit shaft to make my grave out of but I think I let it get too hot when I was making it because it dulls too quick. I'll buy some blanks when I can and start practicing on brass sheets.

For now though, I bought a pneumatic rotary tool at harbor freight for $25 and some diamond burrs that can help me get where I want on this project.

You had my interest this morning when I got off work. I ended up watching youtube videos on this because I couldn't get enough. LOL Good stuff and keep us up on your progress..........
