Default street bob exhaust questions

i have a 2013 dyna street bob, and i already have all the stge 1 parts sitting in the garage (v&h shortshots, screamin eagle a/c, and a screaming eagle super tuner) my question is can i install just the exhaust by itself without any repercussions? its going to be a while until my family friend can download the tune to the bike. all i want to do for the time being is at least throw the exhaust on so i can be heard riding down the road. is it possible to be done and will the bike run like crap without the download?

The consensus on this forum has been change your pipes or AC and you should be fine. Change both then remap.

I have short shots and I'm sure the previous owner never remapped. He just had the pipes fitted by the dealer and didn't know what I was talking about when I asked him about fuel management.

It ran fine, but with the quiet baffles (more backpressure) it ran better and had stronger low end, but if you can't get the quiet baffles (bout $90 from the dealer) then you'll just have to deal with some sputtering off idle during takeoff or an extra handful of throttle when you're launching. Otherwise you're good until you can juice it up and get the most out of it.

FYI, the shortshots are redneck loud with the stock cheesegrater baffles - not the tone I was looking for, the quiet baffles did the trick though!
