Just got my bike back after installing a 96-103 big bore kit.
Already diggin it, and still have time to put some miles on it before Daytona. Lopes like a big block with the SE 259E cams, and even seems to make exhaust a little angrier (?).
My riding buddy is already hating it, he couldn't keep up before.
Must be exciting to ride now, I'm rubbing my hands together and doing my homework for my engine upgrade(s). Did you get a Dyno done? If so, post it up!
Got to put some miles on it before hand. I was around mid 70's hp before hand. Now if it would just quit raining
Looking forward to seeing what figures you get after the dyno, should be impressive. I have a 96 and just did cams and gained 14 hp and 17tq from it.
I think you'll be up in the triple figures.
OK, it's a while since the install, I finally got it on the dyno and this is what I got....
Drumrollll
93.76 hp and 111.41 lbs of torque
I like it, not quite the 100 hp I thought, but it would be easier without the cat header I'm sure. But still, that's 21 horse and 30 ft/lbs more than stage 1 kit.
I like that look, so I have Rush slip on's. I keep looking for a catless head pipe, I want to actually see that it is a 09 or newer not have blind faith
Congrats even though you did make the 100hp like you wanted the 111 ft lbs of torque would make it fun to ride. Sounds like you need a new ridding buddy that can hang with you.

Nice, nothing bad about those numbers! Headwork should get you over 100 hp if you have some $$ burning a hole in your pocket. But then you might need to get a new throttle body, then crank work, Oh yeah, those pipes..... Ha, Ha!!!
