Default Fat Bob front blinker relocation?

Hey I just got a set of relocation mounts for my front blinkers.
Anyone know of a DIY to relocating the blinkers?
The blinkers are internally wired in the handle bars. I was wondering if there were wire connections that are hidden somewhere?
Or would I need to cut & splice the wires?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

a cheats way is disconnect the two wire connection under the tank , cut the wires near the connection and pull back thru the bars, remount the indacators and rejoin the wires.. a big job no matter how you do it with your wires in the bars

So there's no way of disconnecting the wires without cutting? What is the REAL way?

ill will re explain a bit more precise ...,, you could also try too remove the wires out off the connectors and pull the wires out off the bars,, OR inside your bars will be your main switch block wires, and another two wires that are your indacators these are together in black tubeing,, under your tank where all your wires run into you will find a two wire conection x2 left/right these are your indicator wires,,, if you cant understand what im trying too say , please get some one too help you, its only basic wireing your doing... I take it you never installed the bars or you would be able too grasp what im saying.. but it is is really a easy thing just take your time.. no nastiness meant..

I guess I'm confused by the original question. U said u just got the relocation kit, yet ur wondering what a good diy solution would be? Um, use the kit u bought? Other than that, I personally would simply disonnect the wires stashed in the neck area, then just carefully pull the wires through the bars. Mount the signals in the new location, then plug and tuck the extra wire back in the neck. No cutting required.

Since OP isn't changing out the bars, what loopie is saying though would save a whole lot of work rather than pulling everything back through the bars. As long as the OP knows how to use a soldering iron and heat shrink, it's an easy job that won't cause any degradation to the wiring.

LOL! No I didn't fully understand your original post.
I'm an electrician, I do a lot of DIY stuff on 4x4 trucks. I just didn't want to go poke around without having some idea where the connectors were.
It's hard for me to picture the "main switch block" located inside the bars, since the tubing isn't very large??
I'm installing the 5" tach speedo combo later. Would I be able to access the connections from the dash? Or would I need to remove the gas tank itself?

No offense taken! I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Mahalo!

No sorry I just got a set of blinker mounts. Not the HD kit.

I'd actually do the extra work of taking the wires out correctly, rather then cut anything if at all possible.
Maybe I'll hold off until I get my new set of Grips. That way I can kill 2 birds with one stone.

The turn signal wiring is actually separate wiring from each hand controls wiring (but) they are wire tied in the lower portion of the hand control base which means you will need to open up the control housings to access and remove the wiring thru them.... As for the plugin (molex) connections you can access them in the back bone area tucked up under the tank it can be done with out completely removing the tank you will need to remove the front and rear bolts lift the tank up support it with some rags between the back bone and the tank , it is a slight pain but doable....
If you look at the neck on each side you will see an oval / oblong shaped rubber grommet (for lack of better words) that the wiring from the bars goes into the back bone remove them and you will gain better access, and on the bottom of the back bone above the front rocker cover is a plastic shield reach up and remove it and you will be able to feel the wiring connections fish out the turn signal wiring they are 3 wire plugs one is black one is white unplug remove the pins from the plug and you can pull them out from the bars at the hand controls (I always wrap some tape around the pins to keep them for snagging anything) reassemble your hand controls and your good to finish up your relocation.....
No need to cut anything but some wire ties............
Hope this helps...........

Now that's about the best explanation of this I have seen. If you do a google search on how to disassemble the connectors you'll find several how to's. It just takes time and patience using a jeweler's screwdriver or as a substitution a large paperclip. Just make a note on which pin goes where when reassembling the connectors.
