According to the wiring diagram there's only one black (ground) wire in this connector (pin # 8).

I could be wrong and I am remembering something from somewhere else. But take a closer look at the black wires, I remember a black wire that had a violet/purple stripe on it and was very hard to notice if not looking for it. This could be your prombel or not related at all.

I will definitely look at it closer. If that is the case that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Putting a purple stripe on a black wire lol. Hope it is that wasy
