Got dads bike back together!! took it for a test run and it seems to run great other than two things:

1.) starter is acting up but im gonna throw a new starter and solenoid/plunger at it.

2.) with the bike running, if I turn the switch from ignition to lights, the bike dies. if the bike is off and I turn the switch to lights, they come on fine

anybody know whats going on with this?

 

1. I would also try the new starter.

2. Maybe a wire for the light is hooked up wrong or not hooked up at all on the "circuit" that they are not working on.

thanks man! I would typically agree with the incorrect wiring on the lights circuit, but they worked for my dad before he passed away. im wondering if the switch has gone bad????
