picking up my 2013 Dyna Wide Glide here in about a month and a half or so (hopefully) once i get home, and this question crossed my mind! i tried a search with no luck, so...
how many miles can do you wide glide guys put on a tank of fuel?
i get 45mpg on my fat bob mostly cruising around 75mph. with a stock 96". i've gotten better mpg cruising backroads at 60-65. around town mileage goes down considerably.
there's a range meter on the speedo that will adjust itself to your riding for the most part. it tends to be really conservative from my experience.
Harley claims an EPA of 42 mpg combined. My '11 96ci averages 43-45, but that is with a full touring windshield installed too. If you figure 40 mpg average. you will hopefully never run out of fuel. Enjoy the purchase, and the fun riding it will bring... dd50 tomp
Mostly depends on how you ride, but the real question is, who cares when your having this much fun?!!! If I'm rideing nice and easy with the OL respecting the speed limit and no speed bursts I get 50 mpg's with my current set-up. If I'm out with the boyz or ramblin on my own well you know

2009 FXD with bags and shield attached. My fuel light usually comes on at about 125 miles city driving. On the highway I've gotten considerably more than that. Steady cruising on the highway I'm pretty sure I could go 200 before I was REALLY pushing empty. It's moot for me though, on a road trip I tend to stop every hundred miles for a stretch and a drink anyway.
