As far as I know...
- Removing the headlight visor: easy
- stock gets you 12'' apes no prob, anything over that would require splicing+cable kit
- dimples required: yes
Anyone else know if 12s will work with out extending anything? I happen to have 12" biltwells on my vstar that I might swap out save for the wg. Although they aren't dimpled so I'd have to do the mod to the control housing. Although they are pretty narrow and might look funny on the wide glide forks.
I have a 97 super glide that I just got so I don't know if the cables are stock, but I put 10" T-bars on that say there 14" of end rise and I only had to change my brake line. I would definitely get the bike for that price especially if its been maintained. You won't be dissapointed, I love mine. I'll try to post a picture later for you to see.
Just an update haven't gotten to check the bike out but going this Saturday to look at it. Its been sitting in his garage for awhile he might have started it up a couple times but thats about it. He recently changed the clutch and battery anything else I should look for? Belt condition? Etc.
Haha oh it would be in my driveway right now if my damn fiancée didn't have a say in the matter. But you know how that goes.. its like honey would you rather me pay 1k to upgrade or have a 10k bike loan. Choice is yours
For $4k it is a steal, regardless of miles. Basically stock with just some bolt crap hanging on it. Stop typing and start buying before someone else snatches it up.
Luckily he's in no rush to sell it and has only contacted me so far. Ill snap a bunch of pics tomorrow and throw some on here for further insight but yeah unless it blows up when I turn it over its just a matter of time until it's mine.
