Be sure to swap out that cam bearing soon, and at 50k miles it is ready for a new set of lifters. Moco issued a 20,000 mile inspect/replace service bulletin on the Evolution motor. All of this is easy to do, and I would recommend that you start posting your questions in the Evo Classic models section of the forum. You will get more experience and help with these wonderful old machines there.

Thought I would update since I've had the bike for awhile now. Turned out to have a weeping base gasket and the carb could use a cleaning. Nothing that has stopped me from riding! Even if I had an indie do a full top end I feel like im still ahead ( sold my vstar for 3400 got the wide glide for 4k) thanks for all the help and advice.
