I just recently boughta bike a few weeks ago, its a 96 dyna wide glide, pretty much stock. I have rode it several times, This past weekend All day the speedometer was skipping around and sometimes sticking on one speed. I tried turning the ignition off to reset it and it works for a little while and starts to act up again. I want to know is this something simple to fix, or if anyone has had simular problems. I talked to the previous owner and he said it did the same with him but not as much as it is now. Anyones help would be appreciated thanks.

 

I took the speed sensor off and it had alot of metal shavings on it so I cleaned it off and put it back and still does the same thing. So I went ahead and ordred the speed sensor. thanx for everyones help haha
