New Super Glide

I recently sold my sportster wanting something bigger and more comfortable. Went to the local dealership last week to look at a street bob and fell in love with the super glide. The sportster was my first bike and I learned to ride with her. I thought I would miss her but I can honestly say that the super glide has won me over. It's taken a little getting used to coming from a sportster 1200 custom with forward controls to the glide with mids as I'm 6'2" but it feels more responsive. It's also nice riding down the highway and not hearing the sportster turning at 4000 rpm. I just completed my first 2-up ride with the wife yesterday and she loved it. I never would have contemplated 2-up on the sportster. I'm in love...

Congrats on the new bike. Once you wake it up and get rid of those stock *** slammer springs you will like it even more. Welcome to the forum!

Have fun,the Dynas are great all around bikes,you can make them your own! Nothing wrong with sportsters either but they are just a tad small for two up.

The same thing happened to me in June. Rode an FXDC though upstate New York and knew immediately. Enjoy your new toy. It gets better.

Congrats! I have an 07 super glide with forward controls, I can't do mid controls because my legs are too long.

I agree that there is nothing wrong with sportsters. In fact, if I could swing it I would have kept the sportster in addition tp getting the glide. The sportster is a great bike for in town and pretty good on the highway. It came down to dropping a lot of money upgrading the sportster to make it more comfortable or get something bigger and more comfortable from the start. Had I not test driven the super glide, I may not have ever known any better. As a side benefit, the super glide is more conducive to 2-up riding as well which will help
persuade the wife when I upgrade this bike.
