Hey SoCal riders, anyone up for a ride tomorrow? I was thinking about heading over to the Julian area. Its only about an hour drive there; but we can make it as long as we like.
I have a couple hours of work in the morning but will be ready to hit the road by 10.
Maybe find some cool place for local grub and hopefully some good scenery.
If anyone is interested we can work out the details of meet up place and time.

Well actually I am meeting some buddies who live down in Anaheim area up in Woodland Hills at the Ralph's at 21909 Ventura blvd at 9:30AM. We are taking Mulholland to Kanan Dune to Coral Beach Cantina on the Beach in nice cool Malibu. We are then heading up to Stunt Road to Saddle Peak. Nice canyon ride.

So I will put you down as a maybe.....j/k, enjoy your ride bro. I kind of want to stick to heading east, that way I dont run into any traffic coming back south.
Well I was off on my own today, probably a good thing cause I got a late start, work took a little longer than expected.
So I headed out towards Julian. I am not exactly sure where I made a wrong turn, looking at a map now I still cant figure out what I did. But nonetheless, it was an awesome ride, all through the mountains and some fantastic scenery. Stopped at one local coffee shop for a quick espresso the stopped at some local eatery on the way back for a quick bite to eat.
I got a few pics from the top of the mountain and of the rain cloud that dumped on me for a little bit, they were taking with my cell phone so not the greatest quality.
About a 150 mile round trip altogether and it was a great day for a ride!
Yeah there was quite a bit of blackened forest in this area. Not sure when it happened, or whether it was a controlled burn or not. Not the whole area was like this, but as I was driving through some of the black areas I was thinking; this is something out of a horror movie!
