Default Suggestions in Florida

Hub and I will be in SW Floridathe last week of February on Marco Island. We have some friends from up here that are staying near Inverness for the whole month of February and we want to meet up with them to ride when we are there. Can anyone suggest some good places to ride that would be half way for each of us? We want to meet up, ride some spend the night whereever ride a bit the next day then head back to where we started from. Thanks.

take I-75 east all the way about an hour and a half and you will get to fort lauderdale beach, many restaurants and beautiful beaches to see. Once you are on the east you can ride A1A South all the way to South Beach. That could be a very nice one day trip.

Try Sebring, Lake Placid or the Lake Wales area. 'bout half way. Nice rides on the country roads. Lots of stuff to see. Minimal interstate to get there. Be careful on 951 out of Marco-lotsa blue-hairs who don't see well.

Not a lot of really good roads between marco and tampa bay,,,but once you get north of tampa (into pasco county)there's a bunch of really nice roads between there and brooksville, and north to inverness. scenic and twisty. be glad to send you the road names or a nice route if you're interested

Hitchhiker, Thanks for the offer. I think we are wanting to stay more in between the 2 places we are staying. The Tampa area is 4-5 hours from where we are so we wouldn't get in much riding with our friends if it takes us that long just to get where they are (we only have 2 days). Thanks again.
