'93 Wide Glide Rattling issue
I have been going through a '93 wide glide and changing out all the fluids and just getting it up to snuff, but I notice that when I hold the front brake lever there is a rattling down around the pipes somewhere. I'm just lost on why this is. I will be sitting on the bike not even moving and it won't make that sound but as soon as I hold the lever down it starts to rattle, then I let go and it stops. Wonder if anyone has had a similar issue or has any idea what could be causing that sound. My hope is it is just a loose bolt that I can tighten up but its just weird that somehow its linked to the front brake for where the sound is. Thanks for any help.

That is weird how it's linked to the front brake but the most common source of a rattle noice on a dyna is the tank mount bolts. It's worth a shot to try cranking them both down with a wrench and see if that makes a difference

Or the heat shield clamps, they come loose and they also crack. Putting the brake on damps out the vibes from the front end and transfers them to the rest of the bike.
