I have a Lindby on another bike, and it's a fine product in many ways, but I have a bad habit of watching how close it comes to the pavement when cornering hard. I'd rather focus on other things, but it's something that needs to be watched.
Yes, could we see a front and rear view of the bike, and will that bar work with forward controls?
Yes this bar does work with forward controls. The reason I installed this bar is I have not ridden in over 20 yrs. and when I won this bike, seeing how much it weighs, I figured for a $130.00, it`s cheap insurance if I drop it and now I`m starting to actually like it. Footboards and pegs on the guard are next.
There are some front and rear pictures in my profile albums but I will take better ones after work tomorrow if it`s not to dark out when I get home.
Got a Lindby bar on my FXDC. Looks much better than the HD bars. Not better than without one but about as good as it can be. I believe it's #1305 with the rounded corners. Never seen it come close to the pavement when cornering but we all ride different.
I did this mod a while ago and yes I know the way the engine guard is attached to a Dyna is not that pleasing to the eyes. So I tried this:
1. Sanded the chrome down and sprayed with self etching primer the inside mounting points.
2. Wrapped the U-bolts with electrical shrink tube and heated it.
3. Spray painted gloss black on the inside exposed parts so only the chrome shows on the bar itself and the outsides of the attaching points.
I think it is a slight improvement over the usual way it looks.
