Considering going taller on my risers. Right now I have 1" risers and 14" apes. I am using the Burly 14" cable kit which you can see in my profile pic the clutch cable is too long. Throttle and idle cable have some slack also.
Insteed of getting a new clutch cable I was thinking about raising the bars up some, right now they are below shoulder level and I "think" I would be comfortable going an inch or two higher.
I havent seen any 2" or 2.5" risers, are they just not that common?
I'm going with SomisMoto on this one, high risers and Apes are f* ugly imo!
However, if you want a quick feel on whether or not higher is the way to go, changing the risers is to cheapest, fastest way to do so!
Personally I think the shorter the riser the better with Apes.
I hate the riser look in general besides a few exceptions.
There is no way you can re-route that clutch cable?
I just ordered the same kit for my burly 14" apes, now im concerned!
Thanks for the quick feedback fellas. I too am concerned with the look of taller risers but figured it is the cheapest option.
As far as re-routing the cable, I am sure it can be done and really the only reason I do not want to do it is becuase I am lazy I want the reason to pull off my exhaust the next time is to because I got a new pipe But I think even re-routing the cable will only do so much to get rid of the extra slack, there is a quite a bit. I could have definitely gone with the 12" cable kit.

3.5" risers with 14" apes, see sig and avatar. But I'm sure it will look a lot different than a road king but you don't see many RK's with risers and narrow apes... It's different but I like it.
