Another rainy day...
another "i never thought it would be me" post.
It had been raining off and on all day, but it was sunny out when I went for a ride less than 5 miles from work for lunch. Long story short, I hit a corner that was slicker and wetter than I thought. The rear end slid out from under me, and I went over the side.
My handle bars and brake lever on my foot boards are bent, turn signal is bent and the shroud is gone, and the tank is scraped to ****... but all and all I came out pretty lucky. Got some road rash on my arm, and bruised ribs, and a reminder to pay attention and not take the ride for granted.

It's an 09 super glide custom. I think the turn signal and brake lever are fixable. I kinda wanted new bars too, so I was planning on buying new ones.
It just sucks that my bike will be out of commission for a little bit while I get everything fixed.

Thanks man. Luckily it was a back road that no one ever uses, and I had my old biker buddy from work riding with me, so I got out pretty good.
The worst part is... the restaurant we were headed to was closed and I ended up having to eat hot dogs from a stand on the side of the road haha.
