I tried the HD Compact and the HD SuperSport, both didnt work for me. I now have a LRS Mustang. This one pretty much gets the job done. The problem I was having with the HD shields was buffeting with my full face helmet. With the LRS I can get up to 70-75mph, usually my top cruising speed, fairly comfortably with very little buffeting. With my half helmet, no buffeting at all.
The one draw back to the LRS is that its not quick release. I just took it off about a week ago and was loving riding without it, then the temps dropped and I immediately put it back on.
The plus side, in addition to normal benefits of windshields is that this one has a smaller surface area but does just as good or better than the bigger windshields. I think it looks better than most full size windshields.
I have the harley quick detach on my wide glide. It's not perfect but I have gotten used to the little bit of buffeting it produces. At first I couldn't stand it but I decided to keep using it in hopes that I would get used to it and I'm glad I did. I'm not fond of the looks but it helps alot on long rides. My original plan was to only put it on for long rides but after riding with it I never take it off. Before the shield my neck and shoulders hurt bad after any ride over 100 miles. Now I can ride all day long and not be sore at all except for my a** (I need a new seat when I can afford it) and I don't even notice the buffeting anymore. Good luck in finding something that works for you.

I'd like to see how that looks on your WG. I am planning on a similar setup as yours.

I bought Wide Glide Fever's HD Compact windshield and it works fine for me...
I have the Windvest on now. It's OK but I like the looks of the Flyscreen better. If the Flyscreen keeps most of the pressure off my chest then I'd rather have that.
