Personally, I really like the way it looks, at least on my bike with apes. Doesn't work as well with drag bars. I have the DK 2" lift. Yeah, my fuel gauge isn't super accurate, but I don't think it was before either.
I found you can actually put more gas in the tank and who cares if the guage is off. Looks better IMO and air does flow in more smoothly. and it does make it easier to clean. Just make sure you have those riser extentions piggy! Without thos your bars and cables will hit the tank, and the risers will look out of place without the tank lift.
My risers have to fit your 13 bob btw both bikes have the same cables. You probbly already have some by now I'm sure!

Disagree. I think a virago looks pretty badass compared to a dyna with a tank lift.
Sorry, I can't take your "Badass" opinions serious with that '80's hair band logo on your derby cover. Oh wait, I forgot, we're all supposed to mod our bikes like others want us to.
Well, I'm off to remove my tank lift and find a "Skid Row" derby!
You're right, guess I should keep up with the times and get into "five finger death punch", "three days grace" or "lady gaga". Then I could be a real badass. C'mon keep going I beg you to rip my bike apart. I forgot only positive criticism was aloud on the internet. Btw slayer is still around and just as badass as they were in the 80s. Can't say the same for all the other sell outs

You can have positive criticism, but yours is demeaning and hateful.
I do it to see the full engine. Plus it is much easier to clean and polish the valve covers. I do like the lines better. The improved flow of air over the engine is a benefit. A cooler running engine runs stronger and lasts longer. That is why I also add an oil cooler and run 12.8 to 1 AFR. My otherwise stock 10 Dyna will stay right with my son's VTX1800 through the gears. I do raise the rear 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch.
I've also done a Road Glide, Sportster, Deuce and FXSTC so far.
If you do the digital speedometer/tach combo, it will learn over time when you run it into reserve and go over the stated miles until empty.
The Dyna is almost corrected now. I never cared as I have always reset trip B when I fill up and the refill at 150 to 180 miles. I can run to 200+ miles so I do not believe that capacity is reduced nor can I conceive that it could be reduced at all.
