My battery keeps dying...

having the same issue with my 2010 fat bob with 10800 miles on it. battery doesnt hold a charge. checked the charging circuit and everything checked good from the alternator to the battery. so today i decided to take off the primary cover to see if there was anything going on with the stator or rotor..problem found. all the magnets decided they were not going to stay attached to the rotor. they all came loose and decieded to stick to the stator instead,also explains why the stator still checked good with a meter..maybe something to look at phatman218

Keep in mind that if you have the security system, it's normal to have some parasitic draw. On my '13 with security, there is enough of a draw that when I reconnect the battery there is a small spark. The dealer told me when I bought it to just keep it on a battery tender whenever possible. So I do every night, even though I ride it every day.
