my original battery lasted 3 years second battery lasted 13 months no real changes since I hopped up the motor at 1 year old anybody else get short life on a battery? warranty 12 months

You might want to check the charge rate going into the battery. If it is too high (bad regulator) the battery may be cooking itself. Or it might just be a $hitty battery too. Batteries that have been on the shelf too long will fail early. Check the date code on the battery when purchasing to make sure it is a fresh one. When they sit they are still breaking down the lead inside and will fail prematurely.
