Default Another Samson Pipe cracked thread.

loved my exhaust while it lasted but last ride killed it.
After an all day excursion I heard some wild noises coming from below.
Didn't know what it was to start but turned out to be the Samson exhaust broke apart at the beginning of the chamber dangling from just the front gasket with both the system broke in two and the hanger also broke in two.
three years and now junk.
The walls are ultra thin and weld is out of question.
Didn't get my $600.00 bucks worth.
Now I purchased a (deal) on ebay 2 into 2 new for $300.
I may of got ripped off but worth a try. Ebay will always give me my money back if I do get suckered.

Going back to 2 into 2 for budget sake.
Good time to do some extras like paint the fenders as they are rotting.
My Jagg oil cooler adapter became loose and leaked so off it comes for the winter. Less things to go wrong in a season you don't need it.
maybe reinstall with a new braket mod in a different location in the spring.
Finally got a detachable pillon rear seat and passenger foot rest and sissy bar, pad. I have the luggage rack already.

Not cheap, new, so the misses can join in the fun soon.
I picked up the real paint and primers and will paint the fenders myself.
No biggie, Vivid black.
As it gets aged it's easier to live without perfection.
the nice thing about the Cobra autotuner is that whatever exhaust I install it's ready. Hell it adjusted to straight pipes when it broke.

Sorry to hear about the Samson exhaust. They were very high on my list before choosing Bassini. Might look at the Wards Fan Cooler for next Spring - hearing some very favorable comments on them.

Yes thanks but what a good time to go over the bike.
Being one of those all season riders I need to go the extra.
Tore off the front tubes and after three years the fluid looked brand new. Amsoil shock theraphy 10WT. I expected to find water and such but no. new fluids on the way.
Yes, Amsoil all the way. Seals are still good so going with the originals.
taking my fenders to work to blast them as the rust is moving in.
I picked up the two part urethane primer expoxy to give it a good base and the real vivid black urathane coat along with the urethane clear coat.
fenders came off easier than I thought.
Took the oil cooler off.
