New '06 Superglide=PERSONAL opinion...
joe

I'm new here, but here's a pic of my '06 Dyna Super Glide. The new wide fork and 160mm rubber on the back both look great. the six speed and the new clutch is smooth.
The news on the bearing wasn't a big deal to me. But I live about 5 minutes from the dealer, so it won't be a big hassle.
My only complaint is the exhaust. I've got the stage one, SE slipons and efi remap, and it's not loud enough. I'm hoping the aftermarket guys get some pipes available soon compatible with the O2 sensor, catalytic converter, etc.

What kind of seat is that??? Nice looking scoot. I have an 06 superglide and am looking for a new seat. I was thinking about a mustang daytripper. Any thoughts....

thanks for the link on the pipes!
Very nice bike !!!
... How did you remap your EFI? I know that the dealer has no D/Ls yet, nor V@H. Also, did you use 05 SE II slip ons? there are none out yetfor06????? tell me what you can....Thequiet is killing me!!!!
BTW nice bike
the slipons are an '06 part, part number 80418-06. I'm honestly not sure how they remapped it, it's the screamin eagle stage 1 air cleaner, and they said I had to have it remapped, or it would run too lean. I didn't ask any details, but they didn't act like it was a big deal to do the download. Hmmm, now I'm wondering!
I'm definitely going to go for pipes as soon as they're available. The slipons look really cool, but they're not much louder or deeper than stock.

How is the seat as far as comfort goes? Have you had a chance to really break it in? Lastly, do you have any additional pics of the seat on the bike. Thanks for the part number....

The rev tech is the way togo, but they dont have one for the 06 dyna....yet. I am sure it is just a matter of time.
I talked to my buddy who is a mech at the local dealer today. He told me the HD slip ons where not worth the money, and SEII pipes are not out for 06 dynas, and he is unaware of any DLs fromthe factory for the 06 dyna?????? Is she running good? I guess if its not running to hot, and is running smooth....enjoy.
What the dealer gave you was the "Stage 1" download. It's a quick 15 minute download whereby your fuel/air ratio maps and timing maps are reset for the aircleaner and pipes. It also raises your rev limiter from 5500 RPM to 6200 RPM. I did this, and later got a Power Commander III along with a custom tuning on a Dyno from a DynoTech certified custom tuner!! Runs perfect, and has alot of torque!!! By downloading the Stage 1 first, you keep the higher rev limit, once you do more tuning!!

I had V&H straightshots on my old kawi softtail and they were great! You should probably plan on more tuning after the pipes, so as to get the full advantage of these modifications! If you still need more "pep" around town, you can go with the "gear down" kit. The engine will spin at higher rev's on the highway, but it'll be super quick around town! I also went with the Sreamin' Eagle Pressure plate for an extra 25 bucks with the grear down kit, so as to avoid clutch slippage. The stock clutch is good for up to 100 horsepower! The stock pressure plate has been known to slip with the gear down kit, however....
I guess the nice thing you're getting with the big forks is less flex on the highway. No need for fork tube bracing....
