I had the SE Pro II balony cut slip ons for almost two years. End of last Summer I switched to the V&H Pro Pipe. I was looking for a deeper soundwithout beingso loud as to cause attention to myself.
I found that the sound on the SE's deteriorated over time. I thought they sounded great at first, but about 5k miles into them, they developed a raspy tone to them that I just couldn't take... so I changed.
side note: there was minimal HP/TQ gain from switching to the 2 to 1 Pro Pipe.

I have the SE II slip ons on my 2006 SB - had pretty good luck so far - 9000 miles and no tone change that I've noticed. I do not like the script on the back pipe! I actually like the look of the stock pipes, just can't get past the strangled sound....
i have the slash down SE IIs on my '06 WG with about 5K miles. still sound great and look as good as new. a bit quiter than the V&H ovals on my UC, but am well pleased with them.
I have the SE II's with about 3500 miles on them. I like the sound .. it seems the more miles I put on them the deeper the sound gets! Wondering now tho..... what will happen at 5000 miles ....
I have the SE 2 slip on mufflers on my 02 Dyna and I liked the sound but I wanted it just a little louder and still sound good so I ground the rivets off and took the baffles out. Thereare medal dividers in there that directs just a little exhaust straight threw and the rest threw a baffle. All you have to do is bend the divider a little to direct a little more exhaust straight through andget some reallygreat sound out of them.If you get it to loud just bend it back a little. When I put them back in I just used screws. Now any time I want to change the sound I just take the baffles out and redirect the flow. The divider is a lot easer to bend if you heat it cherry red first.
