speakin' of SE slip-ons, I heard a rumor that SE makes cycle shack slip-ons, or is it the other way around?? They dont have the script on them, and are a lot cheaper. I got those off of ebay for get this....49 bucks plus 12 bucks shipping. Brand new in the box!! They sound good, let you know your coming. (kinda like a woman) but a lot throatier! no pun intended
I see a hex nut, I believe holding in the baffles, one day I may experiment and take them out to see how they sound. I believe they would be to loud though.
but anyway, not SEII's like the thread, but was curious as to who makes'em.
Got the SEII's.(old style)....good deal for the $$ and not aggressively loud so the neighbors haven't complained. FWIW, my SEII's have a 3/8 bolt that holds the baffles in.
i'd check the catalog to see if '06s are the same as '07s. same bike, except for the stroke on the engine. I'd bet they will bit. I have SE IIs on my '06 WG and love them.
Sound won't be too different other than losing the sewing machine appeal of the stockers (at least on an 06). If you decide you wan't sound too, go for the Big City Thunder baffles!
I have the "old style" SE slash cuts on my 07 Street Bob and they fit just fine. The make more noise than the newer ones do. The S&S are the best
slash cuts i have found. They make great power And have the "Right" sound.
