The HD quick-release system is very nice. I like to ride without the shield most of the time and it's great to be able to replace when I want to in about 10 seconds. However, the HD shield is somewhat flimsy compared to Clearview or Long Ride Shields.
This is helpful and a good idea.
I've been trying to make a National Cycle Deflector work on my '14 Fat Bob. The mounting solution is reasonable and the screen is adjustable six ways from Sunday (pivot the bar mounts, distance of the screen from the mount, adjustable rake). I haven't been able to find a position for this thing that allows me to look over it (not through it) but doesn't create a crazy roaring wind noise. It buffers the chest but just doesn't shape the wind right for me.
I pulled it off the bike this morning and I think I'm done with it. Going to look for a used shield for the clamps and then try one of the options you recommend.
