03 WG value question
I always hate to ask but seems I just have too! I recently purchased an 03 WG, 100th anniversary model. The bike is, IMO, somewhere between a 8 1/2-9 on a 10 scale. Its really clean with only 19,000 miles. I'm told its got custom paint as the vin no. say it should be dark metallic blue but its tu-tone with the upper half of the tank and fenders have a translucent light brown paint. It had new tires and a new battery installed the day I purchased it and I also got a 2 yr, warranty that covers all major components. Just curious what you folks think the value of the bike might be?? Also is the anniversary model worth a bit more that just a standard WG? I know its too late to worry about cost and I feel I got a decent deal, just curious as to what you all think. Thanks!
You did very well okbill. 2 things to remember about ur bike though. #1, you are going to have to do the cam chain tensioner, #2 they discontinued the Timkin bearing in 02 so the Gear fix may not be an option. That is just my opinion though, there are a lot of guys on this forum that are mechanics and know way more than I do. I paid 8k for my 01 with 8200 miles on it. it now has 70k.

Blue book retail is about 8000.. I paid a little more than that for my 03 over a year ago, it only had 5041 miles on it... I would think you got a pretty good deal.....What really matters is how much you enjoy it
