2007 Street bob. It has a little over 60,000 miles on it. Vance and Hines slip-ons, fuel pack, and S.E. high flow. Tail light , brake light , and all turn signals stop working. Problem comes and goes. headlight and running lights continue to work. Headlight is daymaker tailight is drag led. Any ideas where to start? thanks in advance.

 

U1016 = Loss of ECM Serial Data.

If it wasn't for that code i would have guessed a loose or corroded fuse for that circuit. Still might be.

Have a check around the fuses, looking for signs of corrosion/oxidation. Give it a clean there and get some WD40 on it. Might help.

Failing that, I guess you could have disturbed a connector when messing with the headlight or taillight. You'd need to check all the connectors you can get to under the seat and the fuel tank. Open them and check for corrosion and then add some WD40 or dielectric grease before reassembling.

 

The lights I am having trouble with are on different fuses. Also security seems to be acting up. flashes when I key up even with fob in hand. Any other ideas?
