While riding with some friends this past weekend, I was told my headlight and tail light were randomly turning on and off. At the next stop, I checked both and everything was working. Later, on the way home and getting dark on the interstate, my headlight went off again. A mile or so later it came on for a few seconds, then off. That happened 4-5 times in the 20 or so miles I traveled. I finished the ride home with my four-way flashers lighting the way.
The turn signals, speedo, gas gauge and stop lights work, but no headlight tail light or passing lights. ('08 RKC)
Anyone experience this kind of problem? Bad ground? Relay? What else should I look for?
I've checked all the fuses and this weekend I'll start my search by checking continuity between the switch and the head and tail light.
I know from experience these kinds of gremlins are hard to locate.
