Well I only have a few days of riding left in Indiana this year . My plan this winter is find a Windshield that will work on my bike .
This question has been ask a bunch with no real answer . I looking for a Windshield that works that means no buffeting at all . I will never run much past 65 mph and never on an interstate if I can help it .
I have a 2008 WideGlide stock bars I have road for years with no windshield because I never found that worked on a wideglide . I run a lot of back roads 50/55 mph and really tired of eating bugs and the wind is getting old .

I`ve got the same one you have, and I DO get buffeting on my `09 Dyna Superglide.
Could be because I have apehangers and a fat front tire. Or maybe it's my boots or my little helmet. I don,t know why I don,t get the wind buffeting thing, I get wind but it's usually from the sides on a windy day if it's blowing from the side.
My jeans flap around my shins. Does that count?
No buffeting at all? No wind? No bugs?
Good luck on that
I think most people know what I,m talking about . Yes I would like to ride with less wind on my chest and yes a few less bugs would be nice .
As far as buffeting 100% less is not really possible but I would think 60% would be . I,m not going to spend any money until I know a windshield will work for me . I have already bought two shields one from H-D and one from an aftermarket seller . Both were unusable one had so much buffeting I could not see the road at 40 mph . No one should need to buy one after the other to find one that works ?
i believe the thing your describing is called a car.
barring that, a batwing w/ deflectors and lowers is basically the max amount of wind/bug protection you can get for a wideglide.
after that you'll have to play with various sizes of windsheilds to find one that fits you+bike correctly. too tall and you're vision might get blurred. too short and you'll get buffeting. some cutting might be needed to get a better fit around headlight and watch for windgaps from below the shield.

so with the 3 windsheilds that you had so far.
were you looking over or through them. you should be looking just over the windshield not through it.
have you measured height of the windshield and adjusted it up and down.
angled the windshield differently.
actually checked where the buffeting was coming from by feeling for air currents?

Any help would be great .
In many cases, the wind is coming up from below. If you check out a few jap touring cruisers, you will see a lot of factory fitted lower fork strut wind deflectors that reduce the airflow back up behind the screen into you face/helmet. On the wideglide, because your feet are at a low angle with the forward controls, a lot of this wind just travels up the top of your legs. Put your existing screens on and try lifting your feet into a mid mount type position to see if this helps the wind flow. The knees normally start to block the air flow. If it does, try some sort of lower fork deflectors. I got an earlier WG sorted with extended lower fork deflectors and a two up national screen, but still got some wind from the forwards, lift my knees up and completely gone. It's a never ending story...lol...
