1st ride after fluid change
Drained out the Syn3 and replaced it with Mobil1 v-twin oil...replaced the tranny with Mobil1 full synthetic 75/90 gear lube. What a difference! The bike shifts smoother and quieter than it ever has...definitely worth it for anyone considering the change. Also, for those leery of doing the fluid change themselves...it's a piece o cake. Just be careful not to overfill as sometimes you don't get all the old stuff out completely. First ride since December...and tomorrow it is supposed to be close to 70!! Life is good.....

I did my engine and primary today. Drained the HD Dyno 20W50 out of the engine and put in Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W50. I bought it at Autozone for $7.95/qt. They had 14 quarts available. There were only 2 qts. on the shelf and a computer search showed another 12 qts.in storage. Drained the whatever HD put in the primary (maybe Formula ++) and put a common 10W40 dyno oil in. Tomorrow I'll drain the Formula ++ out of the transmission and put Redline Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil in. It was a short ride home but, the motor seemed to have less whirring/clicking sounds than before. I'll be able to tell this week when I ride about 190 miles to get the injectors changed in my bike. I can't wait to see if the Redline quiets the transmission a little. I am just in time for the temperatureto start heating up here in good ole Louisiana. From what I've read this Mobil 1 will help engine temperatures.
