Default Sabin Performance - Dallas?

Anyone familiar with Sabin Performance in Dallas? They're a DynoTech shop.

I just tried to call them and apparently they are closed Mondays. Will follow up tomorrow as I am in the market for a DFW Dyno as well...

OK. In my related thread I mentioned that today American Eagle HD quoted me $395 for the run/tune. Seems excessive, but I really do not know...

i got quotes from motion cycle sports (yamaha dealer) on 635 for $195 and from d&s performance (indy) just down the street for $240. they seemed like nice guys, but i never saw an actual dyno in their shop and a few people here didn't have much good to say about them.

sabin professes to be a v-twin shop as well as a sport bike guru. i just want a top notch map at a fair price.

Researching this 5-6 months ago, I heard some real good things about these folks.

Will seriously consider them, even though I am in San Antonio.

Spoke with them on the phone back then, and competency was apparent.

But that remains to be seen.

Do a search in the tech area of this forum,
there should be some more info there.

Interested in hearing more, SATx is tuner poor right now.
Gonna do some motor work soon.

Seems like there are a lot of us in Texas that need a tune. Maybe we should do a dyno day and see if we can get some better rates. Meet and greet while we are at it.

On his website.....he has initial dyno tunes for $30. I've done two so far, first one was a base line dyno and the second was after some engine work to see where the AFR's are. I have seen multiple Harley's at his shop and his reputation is supposed to be good. I'm going back for my dyno work (motor break-in period over) either this weekend or next and will let you know my experience.

Spoke with the owner today. Seems very knowledgeable and friendly. Said he can do a complete run and custom map in 1.5 to 2 hours and that I am welcome to stay and watch. Lots of shops from whom I got quotes won't let you into their work area and one didn't even have a dyno.

Sabin quoted me $200 for a custom map on a PCIII USB model. Their web page lists a $30 dyno run. If the initial run and print isn't included in the $200 quote, it will be worth it to me to see the difference with the new map. Have a couple of weeks of work travel before I can take her in. I'll post my results when it's done.
