I have a 2012 WG with one inch over Progressive rear shocks and am looking at several things I want to do to it.
I'd like to add maybe 4" over tubes to get the front end up a bit and add 12" Builtwell apes, not sure what length cables or electrical extension I'll need. ??
Like to order whatever I need before I disassemble anything.
Also can you use any other riser with these bars, as I'm not to fond of "Builtwell" being stamped on the riser??
There is plenty of wire in the handle bars for 12in apes, no extensions needed. Buy the handle bars and risers and do a mock up and measure for cables. Some have done 12in without longer cables. Any 1in bar risers will work.

Where do you plan on getting the +4" over fork tubes?
You can get them up to 8"over, but that's it due to the 49mm tubes having a thinner wall thickness than the 41mm tubes. I'm in the process of cutting and stretching the frame on my 2012 Wide Glide, and I'll need longer than 8" over tubes, so I'm planning to sell my complete 49mm front end, and go to a 41mm custom set of trees and the tubes I'll need.

Thanks, I had thought of going with a 4 to 6 over narrower and smaller tubed front end, but kept hearing horror stories of poor handling, not sure why though.
