Default Broken rifle fairing bracket.

Riding home this morning and while getting up to about 85mph,I noticed a sudden vibration in my fairing. I look over and see a snapped off bracket right above where it's bolted to the fork clamp. Is there anyone who makes better brackets than these? I'm thinking some small heim joints with an adjustment nut in between.

Bung King has small heim joints in stainless of that size. Send them the dimensions of the mount that you want and they will fabricate a setup for you.

That's what I was thinking. I'm already planning on ordering their shifter linkage for my mid peg conversion. Thanks bro I'll give them a call.

i also broke a couple of these. I called Rifle and they actually replaced them for free. But yeah something heavier duty would be the way to go.

They are some pretty flimsy mounts. They charge enough money to provide better mounts. I should start making parts...I would have some very happy customers.

Bung King rocks. I have their stainless linkage and the heim joints are super smooth.

For a mounting bracket though, how would you lock it down? Or do you want it to "float" a little?

I see what you're saying squid,That's a good question. I remember using heim joints for a trick alternator mount on my car but the stability came from the other mount that was solid. If I used heim joints on this it would cause to much movement. I think maybe I could do a mount with the standard eye ends with the counter threads and adjustment nut in the middle.

I am interested to see what you end up with. I dont like the Rifle top mounts either. They just look cheap.

I've had the same problem. I would be interested in your solution.
