V&H heat shields....
How hot do these suckers get? I want to ceramic coat them black, but i have been told that painting them using vht flameproof coating would work just as well, as long as you cure them properly. Im no cheap skate, im just practical.....if i can save ten bucks, ill do it. Id like some honest opinions from some of you who have used the paint on the heat shields, NOT the headers. Thanks.

I'm not so sure how hot the actually get, but I cannot believe they get any hotter than car headers. VHT makes some great header paint thats good, I believe, up to 1500 degrees. Check out their website...
