temp of heat shields??
I have the all chrome big radius heat shields and am looking into having the front have powder coated wrinkle black. First of all has anyone done this? Second the guy online said he could do it if the shield doesn't get over 400 degrees. Not too sure what temp they get? I already did the high temp paint thing and it looks ok but every little scratch screws up the finish so that is not a option....Any comments....

I have a buddy who pc'ed his heat shields on a set of Samson's. It looks good and has not bubbled or flaked, however he does not ride his bike that much. It is true that if it scratched it will be noticeable, but hit it with some black touch up paint or a color rite paint pen and you'll be fine. I'd rather wrap my pipes, but that is just me.
we coat them all the time. it is all in how you pep them man, if you need any work done shoot me a PM be more than happy to help out! mine have been done on my bike for over 2 years
