I voted Street Glide, as the question was specific to travelling a long distance.

So for purely that function Street Glide it is.

If you also need a sportier bar hopper, medium range touring as well as long range, check out the all rounder bike in my sig pic:

I have a Road Glide and a Dyna. For a long ride based on the options you gave, hands down the SG.

BTW, you do realize the poll is posted in the Dyna Forum. It's a bit like going to a vegan forum (assuming there is one) and polling what is your favorite food for dinner: 1) Rib Eye; 2) BBQ Chicken; 3) Lobster; 4) rice and beans

Post a similar poll with a reasonable choice of bikes in the General Forum and I bet the results would be very different.

That's exactly why it is in the Dyna section. When I last checked, seconds ago, there were 568 on the Dyna forum and 1064 on the touring one. You know the poll response would be for touring bikes...Even if we could get the Softail crowd to vote for us, touring would still win. Wonder how many FL's are actually out there today?

If I'm riding with my wife, the Street Glide, hands down. They're very nice bikes, the larger fairing is great, it's bigger for two people, etc.

But if I'm riding alone, my Dyna is perfect. I can do 600+ mile days- fast.

I will say that before I modified my Dyna that would've been impossible. Fairing, bars, engine and suspension upgrades, and new seat were a must. Removable bags and strapping stuff to my removable sissy bar help a lot.

It's a joke the way the Street Bobs come set up from the factory. I like the way they look, but I couldn't do 100 miles on that thing without aches and pains, and the handling was pathetic with those bars.

I love the new SGS, and I'm with a lot of yall, I want one for a second bike. I think I'll wait a couple of years and buy some trailer queen bike

My son rode to most of the 49 states and Canada with me on his 06 Street Bob. He put 42K on it touring from Alaska to Key West and ocean to ocean.

I worked great for him.

That's the Street Bob with the ammo box saddle bags. The big bag he had strapped across them is already in the room. He is checking his brothers BMW out. He is 6'5" and 270. Used his stock mids. He did put a progressive suspension in when he got it. He did an official Iron Butt 1,000 on it and many 800 to 1k one day rides.

The pic is at a motel in Butte Mont. where we met up and headed to Canada the next day to get to the Alaskan Highway and eventually the Arctic Circle.

My bike was the Beull Ulysses XT in the picture. I have toured many different bikes. My preference is for a Road Glide.

His Street Bob impressed me so much that I added one last year. It corners and rides better than the other Dyna's especially my Super Glide which beats me up when I ride it.
