help with fluid amounts for bob please
need a refhesher. amount of all fluid amounts for06 bob. i have the manual,if i remember correct, these amounts are not correct, thanks much for advice. going to lett oil.trans,and primary drain overnite to get er' all out .

Should be 32oz for primary, 32 oz for trans, 2.5 qts for engine with oil filter. The engine takes 3.0 qts when bone dry but 1/2qt. stays in there.

thanks. hey,who has the best prices for h.d. primary covers, skull,etc ? dang,i forget now the name of that on line harley sore that is cheaper .

The primary does not take a full quart. If I remember correctly it takes 22 ounces. The oil level in the primary should be just above the shiney ring that is on the front of the clutch plates assembly, you will notice this shiney ring, with the bike upright and level fill it just above the ring.
The transmission 1 quart.
The engine 2.5 quarts.

thanks, heads up on those o rings on the drain plugs. mine pretty shabby,got to go buy new ones today.only second fluid change here too. might as well get them when you get your fluids. i bet auto stores would have those o rings (gaskets) . ?????????????

The gasket and o-rings aren't expensive at the dealership.
Change o-rings every time. I also usea dab of loctite thread sealer (not thread locker) on the drain plugs, I put it the middle of the threads towards the head of the plug just don't put it on the end of the drain plug.
Torque plugs to specified torque.
