Hmmm... I think I have found my fairing! But can't I cannibalize my my HD quick release windshield's clips and use them on this? Or, hell, I suppose if I can get 50% of what I paid for that, I could put that towards the fairing and mounting kit...

With some ingenuity, you could make them work. Just a bit of cutting and drilling the MS plates. I'm thinking of doing this if I can get some HD clamps for cheap.
The MS unit allows the fairing to click on and off, but the clamps stay on the tubes. They're easy enough to remove too, but then you would gave to re-adjust each time. It doesn't take long if it's just a seasonal change. Probably too much trouble for true quick-change.

I'd rather have the QR like HD has on the windshield I have... I found a single QR clamp on eBay for $20... Maybe I get the fairing, then look at what it would take and go from there...
You got me thinking, so I went and took pictures of the MS clamps (my fairing is still at paint, so I don't have the brackets with me.)
It looks like these black bushings/guides could easily be adapted to the HD clamps. They are just attached with an Allen screw. The MS brackets just slide into the groove on the black bushing.
Is that the MS "QR" -- aka "Trigger Lock" mounting kit? Or the "plate only" mounting kit?
So other than the fairing, what else will be needed from MS... if I pilfer my HD QR clips? FYI, the LOCKING QR clips from HD are $40/each on HD's site... haven't yet found the regular clips... nor a part number.

The trigger-lock system is made up of the plates (attached picture) and clamps (pictures in previous post.)
They apparently sell the plates to people who switch from different MS fairings and windshields. In other words, if you are buying a MS product for the first time, you need the whole kit (not just the plates because the plates stay with each fairing or windshield.)
So, to use the HD clamps, you would need to remove the black, grooved bushings from the MS clamps and somehow attach them to the HD clamps. Then, use the MS plates as they were intended.
